Mike was raised in Erie, PA where he attended Cathedral Preparatory School. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky including his final semester as an intern at the US Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs. Upon graduation, he joined General Electric in their Commercial Leadership Program and also earned his MBA at the University of South Florida. His journey into healthcare took place in 2003 when he joined Allergan. In his decade there, he assumed roles of increasing responsibility in both leadership scope as well as training and development of people, culture and physician relationships. After his time at Allergan, Mike briefly joined an eye care startup organization as part of a select national team which launched a new technology into the eye care market before being recruited to join what was one of the fastest growing Optometry practices in the country and remains one of the largest today. He led acquisition efforts in a multi-region area over 8 years and the business experienced 2 successful recapitalizations during his tenure. In 2023, after having helped the organization grow from 100 to over 800 offices, Mike and his partners came together to form Prism Consulting Partners. When he is not working, Mike is an active member of F3 Nation as well as a coach for Let Me Run. He resides in Fort Mill, SC with his wife and 2 children.

In 2005, Dave joined Allergan’s eyecare division, spending more than a decade advancing through progressively senior roles encompassing sales leadership, training, and organizational development. In 2010, he relocated to Tampa, Florida, and later played a key role in building a sales organization from the ground up to commercialize an innovative dry eye diagnostic—further strengthening his expertise in market development and go-to-market execution.
In 2015, Dave transitioned into optometric practice growth and acquisitions, serving as Director of Practice Development for a rapidly expanding platform. Over the next several years, he helped with acquisition strategy and execution, contributing to the growth of more than 750 practices nationwide.
In 2023, Dave reunited with a longtime colleague to form Prism Consulting Partners, bringing together a highly experienced team focused on transformational exit plan consulting and healthcare acquisition advisory. Today, Dave specializes in guiding practice owners through valuation, strategic positioning, and transaction execution, helping them navigate complex transitions with clarity and confidence.
Dave resides in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and enjoys spending time outdoors and on the water with his two dogs, Luna and Meatball.

Dr. Tasman earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in 1974, his Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 1980, and his Therapeutic Drug Certification from the University of Houston. He also is Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry. After completing internship training in primary vision care in Athens, Tennessee and Doctors Memorial Hospital he began his private practice in Acworth -Kennesaw Georgia in 1980. Dr. Tasman has been a member of the American Optometric Association since 1976 and the Georgia Optometric Association since 1980. He is past president of the Greater Atlanta and Georgia Optometric Associations and is past president of the Woodstock Rotary Club.During his career he has received the Young Optometrist of the year, Optometrist of the year, The Bernard Kahn award and the Georgeanne Bearden Award for lifetime achievement. He was also the Georgia Trustee for SECO and continues to be third party chair for the Georgia Optometric Association.
In Dr. Tasman's spare time, he can be found in Neyland Stadium cheering on the VOLS, playing golf and hanging with his wife Mary, his two children Erin and Shelley, and his grandson Oliver.
